A CASUALTY was trapped in a vehicle after it was in collision with a barn on the A3358 near Simonsbath in the early hours of this morning.

Police hunt vandals who damaged public toilets in Minehead and WatchetTwo fire engines from Lynton and the heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor were sent to the scene at 1am.
The crews found that a vehicle had left the road and hit a barn, trapping the casualty. No other vehicles were involved.
Lynton fire crews released the man from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools. They then made the vehicle and scene safe. Police and ambulance also attended.
The heavy rescue vehicle was not required and returned to base.
