FIRE crews called for back-up when they found a 50-metre fire front on Porlock Hill on Thursday afternoon (November 3).

Crews from Porlock and Minehead were called to a grassland blaze at 2.10pm and asked for additional resources. Two additional crews from Minehead were mobilised.

The crews used beaters and a Brendon pump to extinguish the fire.
