A GROUP of schoolgirls aged from across the local area travelled to Wembley to watch the Women’s FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Arsenal.
The girls joined a crowd of 40,000 in what was an inspiring showpiece occasion for women’s football.
Dan Haran, of the West Somerset Soccer School, said: “The girl’s game is growing rapidly across UK. It’s vitally important that here in West Somerset that we support the girls in having equal opportunities.
“When founding West Somerset Soccer School earlier this year I put opportunities at the forefront of my ambitions. This trip was hugely rewarding and inspiring for me as a coach and the girls in attendance. “

“I’m extremely proud that I was able to offer such and opportunity and want to thank Ridlers Coaches for accommodating our travel and to the local community for being so supportive. I look forward to continuing with my objective for children across West Somerset to have access to opportunities to be inspired and have memorable experiences together.”
