A DERELICT portacabin was completely destroyed by fire in Town Close, Stogursey, last night.

Fire crews from Nether Stowey, Bridgwater and Willton went to the scene at 11pm after a call from a member of the public, and extinguished the blaze using main hets and drag fork.

On Saturday night, fire engines from Williton and Minehead were called to the scene when an outdoor cooker caught light next to a maisonette in Long Lakes, Williton.

The fire, at 11.40pm, damaged an internal wall and an eternal electricity point, and was put out using a hose reel jet, safety jet and positive pressure ventilation fan.
