A PEDESTRIAN was killed as a result of a collision with a car on the A39 at Nether Stowey on Saturday night (March 16). She was treated at the scene but died shortly after.

The road was closed to allow collision investigators to carry out an examination. It was re-opened shortly after 11.30pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses: “We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision who may have information to help our enquiries,” said an Avon and Somerset police spokesman.
