POLICE have been informed after a car was found on fire near a thatched building on Monks Path, Old Cleeve, at 8pm last night (January 8).

A fire crew from Williton went to the scene and, finding the car well alight, the officer in charge called for another fire engine to attend due to the vehicle’s proximity to buildings.

Once the crew had fully extinguished the fire and made the area safe, the officer in charge handed the care of incident over to the police.
