POLICE are looking for three off-road bikers who are believed to have caused damage to an Exmoor Bronze Age burial ground.

Check the latest West Somerset and Exmoor planning applications and decisionsThe bikers were seen at Parracombe Common at about 2pm on Sunday, February 14, and damage was reported to have been done to some of the 12 Bronze Age barrows on the site.
A police spokesman said: “Off-road motorcycles have been a problem on Exmoor for a long time but just lately it has got worse and damage has been caused in several locations. This activity is also breaking the coronavirus stay-at-home regulations.”
The spokesman added that riding motorcycles on common land and moorland was unlawful and asked the public to report any incidents to the police.
“Notify the police using 999 if you suspect an offence is being committed and the offenders are still on the scene,” he said.
