LOCAL artists, creatives and performers are invited to an open meeting on Friday (January 11) to discuss their plans and ideas for the 10 Parishes Festival, which returns in September.

The festival takes place in Wiveliscombe and surrounding parishes every two years and the last event in 2017 was a record-breaker, realising over £45,000 in art sales.

Festival director Pauline Homeshaw said: “The brilliant results of the last festival were a testament to the creative talent we have in the area, along with the huge amounts of support from all sectors of the community.

“The festival engages with so many people locally and it is also a chance to celebrate what is special about where we work and live.

“It takes months to plan, which is why we have this initial meeting early in the year, inviting anyone who might like to be involved in any form along to learn more.”

The open meeting is in Wiveliscombe Community Centre at 7.30pm. For further information phone 01984 624564.
