Charity trustees make amendments

WILLITON and District Nursing Association and Wyndham’s Charity held a garden fete at Aller Farmhouse and raised £300.

And now it is inviting applications from people in the parishes of Williton and Sampford Brett who might be eligible for support.

The trustees recently amended the charity’s objectives so that they may now give grants “with particular regard to supporting the aspirations of disadvantaged young people”.

The fete, held at Aller Farm by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Richard Chandler, featured a variety of stalls and games such as guessing the weight of a cake – and of a sheep.

Afternoon teas were served on the lawn while visitors were entertained by Watchet Town Band.
