ST Margaret’s Hospice is inviting people in West Somerset to take part in its ‘Time for Tea’ fundraising initiative during August.
Supporters are asked to invite friends, family, work colleagues and community to come together for a cup of tea and a slice of cake in return for a donation to the charity.
All donations will go towards helping the hospice continue to provide support to patients and families facing a life-limiting illness.
Jane Lillis, community fundraiser for West Somerset, said: “A home visit by one of our community nurse specialists in Minehead costs £100.
“We’d love everyone to join in the fun and help us to fund 150 home visits by one of our community nurse specialists, who provide tremendous clinical, emotional and practical support to patients and families.
“A tea party that raises £100 will make such a difference to the families and patients we care for.”
Those who hold a Time for Tea and submit the money raise before August 31 will be entered in a prize draw for a Somerset Willow afternoon tea hamper worth over £300, with a selection of goodies from Miles Tea and Coffee.
