MINEHEAD Amnesty Group organised one of hundreds of events held around the country on Saturday (June 17), the anniversary of the murder of MP Jo Cox.
West Somerset people queued to sign a card to her husband Brendon Cox, and cakes and flowers, including some donated from the Old Priory Flower shop, were handed out.
The Labour MP for Batley and Spen, in West Yorkshire, made her maiden speech in the House of Commons on June 3, 2015.
She celebrated the ethnic diversity in her constituency and said that we have far more in common than that which divides us.
Those words have become her legacy after she was murdered a little over a year later by a white supremacist.
