EXMOOR Young Farmers Club presented St Margaret’s Hospice with a cheque for £700 raised in memory of Jenny Winter of Exford.
Club secretary Lucy Gill said the hospice was Exmoor YFC’s charity of the year as a tribute to Jenny.
“Exford village is where Exmoor Young Farmers are based and Jenny did so much for the local community here,” said Lucy.
“She was a fantastic lady and we wanted to give something back to St Margaret’s to show our appreciation of their care for her during her illness.”
On Wednesday (June 21), Jenny’s husband John will undertake a sponsored Wing Walk and Loop the Loop challenge to raise funds for St Margaret’s Hospice in her memory.
The challenge will take place at RFC Rendcomb in Gloucestershire and John can be sponsored on line through his Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/John-Winter2.
