YOUNG Jack Rich had a day to remember when he hit a club record league score for Over Stowey in their Division Two match on Saturday May 13.
He powered his way to an unbeaten 171 at home to Morebath, setting his side on the way to a 181-run victory.
Having been put in to bat, Stowey were in trouble as they lost three quick wickets. But 21-year-old Rich joined Ryan Gamblin at the crease and they put on 220 runs.
After Gamblin was out for 102, Rich then piled on the runs and his innings included nine sixes and 17 fours.
He then took two wickets as Morebath were bowled out for 146.
As well as his 171no being a club record in the league, his and Gamblin’s partnership of 220 is believed also to be another club record.
