Samphire Festival asks Porlock to share ideas

ORGANISERS of this year’s Samphire Festival are holding a special community meeting in Porlock.

They want to tell locals about their plans and invite them to give their views on ways to improve the festival.

The meeting is being held on Tuesday (March 21) at The Bottom Ship, Porlock Weir, at 6.30pm.

“We’re trying to get the word out and would love people to come down and hear more about our plans, and also talk about any good ideas they might have to make the festival even better,” said organiser Flora Blathwayt.

The Samphire Festival, a music and arts event which launched last year and won Best Small Festival at the National Outdoor Events Association awards 2016, will be held on Porlock Hill from July 7 to 9.

The organisers have also invited people to support the festival through crowdfunding at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/samphire-festival-2017
