Storage shed for flood team

By in Community News

WILLITON Flood Team has put up a shed beside the fire station to store equipment and resources that would be needed in the event of another flood in the village.

The team has been given advice by Williton Fire Service, led by station officer Garry Austin-Thompson, in order to establish a viable team and its hoped that help will be ongoing.

The flood team would also like to thank CRISP – the Community Resilience in Somerset Project – for its donation and the support given to enable the team to achieve its aim to help Williton be well prepared for any future event.

Williton Flood Team is always looking for wardens who are willing to help in an emergency. For further information contact Williton Parish Council on 01984 633979 or willitonpc@btconnect.com.
